Kingdoms

Living a life of stagnant rebellion refusing to let change take place,
a grieving soul looking for freedom but it is too much to face.

Why oh God do we run from your healing hands,
spent energy getting to distant lands.

We cannot run from you who are there and there and there,
but we bury ourselves in a prison self a dirty layer.

Cover ourselves with make up like a trained mortician,
set goals unattained from personal ambition.

Ignore the struggle of two kingdom's fight,
fear doing nothing when we know what's right.

Free me oh God from the choices I've made,
free me with your life a price that is paid.

Strengthen me to fight for the Kingdom that is yours,
let me not walk backwards through those doors.

A path set up narrow with a choice,
to turn my back to listen to the voice.

Bury it deep and let it not be a distraction,
from the will I have let it be Your action.

I serve this Kingdom by choice you have given,
turn from the intruders out they be driven.

One Kingdom to serve one King I bow to,
expose me wholly and Holy be new.

"...expose me wholly and Holy be new."
Amen to this.
